Privacy Policy

PlayMaksi processes only the information required to provide the game publishing and playing service while respecting GDPR. Analytics and crash data are optional and disabled until you consent.

Personal data we process

  • Account details (email, nickname) when you sign in via Google or Apple.
  • Device metadata such as language, OS, and anonymised usage events (only if you enable analytics/crash reports).
  • Published game files (.sb3), cover images, titles, and descriptions you upload.
  • Messages you send to support@playmaksi.app.

Why and on what legal basis

  • Provide game publishing, hosting, and playback functionality — contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Moderate content and process reports of inappropriate games — legitimate interest.
  • Improve stability via analytics & crash diagnostics — legitimate interest, activated only after consent.
  • Respond to enquiries and prevent abuse — legitimate interest.

Storage, transfers & security

  • Primary infrastructure runs inside the EU. If we rely on processors outside the EEA, transfers use Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Data in transit uses TLS; access is limited to staff with need-to-know roles.
  • Auth tokens are stored in device secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Data retention

Account data is kept while the account is active plus up to 24 months. Published games remain available until deleted by the author or removed by moderation. Consent logs are stored for five years.

Your GDPR rights

You may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Withdraw analytics consent via the app consent screen. If unsatisfied, contact the Spanish AEPD or your local EU authority.

Account deletion

To delete your PlayMaksi profile (published games, nickname, stored support threads) please contact us so we can verify ownership before erasing anything.

  • Email support@playmaksi.app from the Google/Apple account used for sign-in with the subject "Account deletion".
  • We reply within three business days, queue the deletion, and remove all associated game data within 30 days.

Cloud data (games, preferences, support tickets) is erased within 30 days. Local data on your device remains under your control.

Data export or partial deletion

Need a copy of your data or want us to wipe analytics while keeping the profile active? Submit a GDPR request so we can authenticate and process it.

  • Email support@playmaksi.app with the subject "GDPR data request" or "GDPR partial deletion".
  • Describe what you need: full export (JSON/CSV), deletion of analytics/crash events, removal of published games, etc.
  • We acknowledge within 7 days and complete the request within 30 days unless EU law allows an extension, in which case we will inform you.

For security we may ask you to confirm ownership via your Google/Apple account before fulfilling the request.
